Order throttling allows you to limit the number of Pickup, takeaway or delivery orders for any given period, allowing you to better manage incoming orders. You can select a 15 or 30 minute interval and limit the number of orders within this interval by either a set number of orders or an order value.
For example, if you select a 15 minute interval and limit the number of orders to 10, the maximum number of pickup/takeaway orders you receive every 15 minutes is 10. The available number of orders remaining for any given time slot will be displayed to the customer at the time they order. Where the maximum number of orders has been reached, the time slot will disappear and the customer will need to select the next available slot.
- Go to the Order throttling page in venue settings
- Toggle on order throttling
- Set your time intervals (15 mins or 30 mins)
- Set your total number or orders or total order value per interval
- Click Save changes.
