This is where you set up your preferred service option/s and download URL's and QR codes for your customer to access your digital menu.

(QR codes & URLs)

For customers to access your digital menu, they will need to scan a QR code or access a link (URL). Your QR codes & URLs for each service option you provide can be found in the Service options page within Venue Settings. Follow the guide below to determine which service option you should be using.

Service option

Description

QR code options

Table/zone service

You should choose this service option if you are providing table service.

You can generate a unique table QR code for each table or a generic QR code if you tend to move your tables around. If you choose a unique table code, the table number will be auto-populated into the customer order. For generic codes, customers will be asked to provide their table number on check out.

Counter service

This service option applies if customers are dining in at your venue, but you don’t provide table service.

This option will generate a generic QR code that will display your dine-in menu, without asking a customer to provide their table number. Instead you can utilise custom messaging to let customers know where to pick their order up from.

Takeaway

The takeaway service option assumes your customer is in the venue when ordering and wants to takeaway.

This option will generate a generic QR code that will display your takeaway menu, and won't request the customer to provide a table number.

Pickup

The pickup service option assumes your customer is NOT in the venue to order, but wants to pick up the order and take it away.

You would normally provide the customer with a link to your pickup menu through your website or socials, but you can also generate a QR code for this service option if you want to. Customers will be advised of the pick up address if they access your pickup menu via this URL or QR code.

Delivery

The delivery service option assumes your customer is NOT in the venue to order and wants the order delivered to them.

You would normally provide the customer with a link to your delivery menu through your website or socials, but you can also generate a QR code for this service option if you want to. Customers will need to provide their delivery address if they access your delivery menu via this URL or QR code.

Important note!

If you are adding a table/room number to the MondoMenu portal, make sure it has been added to your POS as well, otherwise orders will fail.

SMS notifications

Send order updates via SMS to your customers. You can turn notifications on for any service option.

  1. On any Service options page, scroll down to the SMS notifications section
  2. Select Yes to Send customers an SMS
  3. Type in your message, or leave as the default message.
  4. Click Save changes.

Delivery settings

If you offer delivery, you need to first enable this feature in on the  Delivery tab. You will also be able to select a delivery fee that will automatically be applied to every order and a minimum order value if you wish. If you select a minimum order value, your customers will not be able to finalise their order if the value is below that minimum.

Conditional pricing

You can also set a conditional delivery pricing, for example, you can offer free delivery if a customer orders over a certain amount.

Delivery radius

The last thing you need to do here is to set your delivery radius. You can either manually enter post codes or suburbs or select a km range. The default we apply is 3 km and all applicable post codes within that radius will automatically be displayed to you, based on your venue address. You can then manually add or delete individual postcodes if you wish.

Accessing your delivery menu

Once you have completed the delivery setup, you simply need to copy the delivery URL or download the QR code and provide it to your customers via your preferred channel/s.

Similar to the pickup option, if a customer chooses "now" as a delivery option, your default wait time plus an added delivery time based on the delivery address will be displayed to the customer as the approximate delivery time.  The delivery time is calculated from Google Maps and is based on traffic at the time the delivery is ordered.
