This discount type gives customers a fixed dollar amount off their entire order, or off specific products. For example, you could offer $10 off the customers order, or $5 off main meals.


Follow the steps below to create a $ Amount off discount:



1. Discount type


a) Select $ Amount off in the Discount type section.



b) Enter the discount amount.



2. Apply discount to


Select if the discount applies to the Entire order or Specific products.


If you select Entire order, the discount amount will be taken off the customers subtotal.



If you select Specific products, the discount will only apply to products you choose. You can choose products using the search bar.


Limit the discount to one product per order:

If this option is enabled, the discount will only apply to ONE unit of an eligible product in the customers cart. For example, if you create a discount on cheeseburgers and the customer adds two cheeseburgers to their cart, the discount will only apply to one of those cheeseburgers.



Note: Customers will need to add the products to their cart first for the discount code to be accepted.



3. Set the Discount rules


  • Minimum spend - The minimum amount customers must spend to be eligible for the discount.
  • Limit use to once per day - If enabled, each customer will only be able to use the discount code once per day.
  • Redemption limit - Cap the amount of customers who can redeem the discount. You can set a Total cap (the total number of redemptions accepted for the duration of the discount), or a Daily cap (the total number of redemptions accepted per day).



Setting a timeframe


The timeframe is the period when your discount code remains valid. Once the timeframe has passed, the discount code will expire. You can choose to set an indefinite timeframe (meaning your discount code will not expire unless you delete it from your portal), or you can set a date range.



Advanced settings


If you would like your discount code to be valid on certain day/s of the week, or at certain times of the day, you can do this in the Advanced settings. For example, you might like to offer a happy hour promotion between 4pm-6pm on Wednesday nights, or a $10 pizza night every Tuesday.



Once you complete these settings, hit the CREATE button to save your discount.
