To create an offer, go to the Post-purchase campaigns page within the Marketing section. click Create campaign and select Offer. When creating an offer you will be guided through the following four step process:
Step 1: Offer details
Step 2: Offer builder
Step 3: Customer notifications
Step 4: Targeting
Step 1: Offer details
During this step, you will setup the basic details of your offer.
Giving your offer a name
You will need to name your offer. This is used to identify the offer in the portal. This information is not displayed to customers.
Offer type
In this section you will select type of offer you would like to create. Discount or Other.
Discount - These offers will be linked to a discount code.
Other - Select this if you would like to create an offer that isn't linked to a MondoMenu discount.
Selecting New discount code will take you to the discounts page where you will need to setup a new discount. See our Discounts article for more information.
If you have already created a discount code, click Link discount code and select it from the dropdown list.
Offer rules
In this section you can set an opt-in cap. This will limit the amount of customers who can opt-into your campaign. You can set a total cap (the total number of customers who can opt-in for the duration of your campaign), or a daily cap.
Setting a timeframe
This is the period when your offer will be presented to customers. You can choose to set an indefinite timeframe or set a date range.
Advanced timeframe settings
If you would like your offer to only show on certain days of the week, or at certain times of the day, you can do this in the Advanced settings.
Step 2: Offer builder
Now it's time to build the offer that is presented to customers. Your offer can be made up of the following elements:
Note: All of these elements (excluding the CTA button) are optional. However, you must include include either a campaign image or a campaign message. |
Logo
You can choose to include a logo at the top of your offer. To avoid adding too many visual elements, you may choose not too include a logo if you also plan to include a campaign image. You could also incorporate your logo within your campaign image.
File requirement: A JPEG or PNG file with the dimensions of 350px wide and 175px high.
Campaign image
This is the main image of your campaign and likely the first element that customers will notice. This image can also include text, but please keep text to a minimum. The goal is for customers to know exactly what the offer is as quickly as possible. Ensure that the image is relevant what you're offering and any text remains highly legible.
File requirement: A JPEG or PNG file with the dimensions of 650px wide and 520px high.
Campaign message
Use the campaign message to outline what you're offering. You want this to be clear, but also as concise as possible. Customers might not fully engage with the offer if there is too much information to process. We find that messages that are short, sharp and clear have the best success.
Call-to-action (CTA) button
This is the button that customers click to opt-into your campaign. Your button text should make it clear what action the customer is taking. For example, you could say "Claim" or "Claim offer". Your CTA button also needs to make sense within the context of the rest of your offer elements. For example, if your campaign message reads something like "Would you like to receive our 2 for 1 pizza deal", your CTA button could say "Yes" or "Yes please".
The CTA button also has limited space, so make sure that your text is going to fit within the dimensions of the button. You can do this by previewing your campaign on a range of different screen sizes by clicking the Preview campaign
button at the bottom of the screen.
Terms & conditions
The terms and conditions should include any other important information customers need know about your campaign. This could include expiry dates, valid day/s or hours, minimum spend requirements or any other usage limitations you set.
On the Offer builder page, you will see a preview of your campaign on the right of the screen. You can also preview your campaign on a range of different screen sizes by clicking the Preview campaign button on the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Customer notifications
Send customers an SMS message when they opt-into a campaign. This SMS should include their discount code and instructions on how to redeem it. Please try to keep this message under 120 characters to avoid increasing the cost to two SMS messages.
Please contact us at support@mondoconnex.com if you would prefer to send customers an email notification.
Step 4: Targeting
You can apply a range of filters to determine which customers get to see your offer. The filtering options are based on the customers order history including the products they order or the amount they spend. These filters are useful if you want to reward customers for repeat visits or for spending over a certain amount.
