What this feature does

The Featured category lets you showcase promotions in a large, eye-catching banner at the very top of your digital menus.
It works on both Order-at-Table (OAT) and Kiosk layouts.

  • Kiosk view: Specials appear in a horizontal carousel above other categories.

  • Order-at-Table view: Specials show in a dedicated row right at the top of the menu.


This feature enhances the visibility of your promotions, increasing the likelihood that customers will see and purchase them.

For venues using a connected POS, please get in touch with your support rep, as this can be set up automatically and directly from your POS.



Step-by-step setup

  1. Open Menu Management
    From the left navigation bar in your dashboard, select Manage Menu.

  2. Choose a Featured Category
    Click the Featured Category icon at the top of the screen as shown above.

    • This category doesn’t need to be named “Specials.”

    • You can feature any category you like - e.g. “Promos,” “Combos,” or “Drinks Deals.”
       

  3. (Optional) Create a new featured category if you don't already have one

    • Click Add Category.

    • Name it (e.g. “Specials” or “Promos”).

    • Add the products you want to feature.

    • Tip: The same product can live in multiple categories (e.g. “Burgers” and “Specials”).

  4. Confirm
    Once saved, your featured category:

    • Will automatically move to the top of the menu.

    • Will be highlighted with a ⭐.


Things to remember

  • You can update or swap your Specials category at any time.

  • High-margin items, daily deals, or limited-time promos perform best here.

  • Keep images bold and copy short for maximum impact.
